http:// broken in newsletter

Postby metalheavy » Tue Oct 09, 2007 10:56 am

The preview looks great, but when I send the test or the actual newsletter itself, it chops all my link code from http:// to ttp:// and without the "h" none of my links work.

PLEASE HELP!

Do you get this same behavior if you do not do the preview first? Also, is there anything else that is consistent about the placement of the links within the message? (For example, are they always at the start of a newline or something like that.)

This is consistantly happening to me, too ...

It looks fine in preview (and I tried sending after previewing and without previewing) ... it come through fine to my Yahoo email address ... BUT, in my Outlook, the code comes thru the way metalheavy says, it chops off the "h" in the href and replaces other characters, too ...

Please help ... we're rolling this out this week ...

When I do a View Source in Outlook, it appears the code is stripping the character that follows an opening quote character (including the opening quote character) ... this causes some obvious problems ...

should we be escaping quotes characters?

Sorry for the slow reply.

I've poked around with this and I've not been able to replicate any error as far as the letter H being removed anywhere within the source of the message (or any other character for that matter). However, I have observed some weird behavior with links and other odd HTML behavior in different clients like has been reported.

Honestly, I'm not quite sure what's causing the errors, I have a few ideas, and I will look into them as I have time.

Sorry I can't be more helpful at the moment...
