After having entered all variables and clicking on submit, the only thing I get is a blank/white page (no error message). The same thing happens when I try to login in in the admin. Please advice.

Thanks in advance.

Don't I need a vars.txt file???

You need to make sure that vars.txt has been created. If not that's probably the cause of the problem. Check that the directory where you have the script is writable. Try setting the permissions to 755 (rwxr-xr-x) or 777 (rwxrwxrwx).

Are there any other files I should create? There's nothing in the zip file, nothing in the installation file. ??????

If your paid version offers the same crappy installation instructions, I think I'll pass.

Normally you need not create any of the other files the script uses. The firstrun.cgi script will create vars.txt if permissions are correct and it can actually create the file. All other files are created as they are needed for the first time (banned.txt, confirm.txt, subscribers.txt).

I set permissions both to 755 and 777, without any result...
